Hello,

I’ve got creating relationships between contacts through the API down, but I don’t see any documentation about how to set the “how do they relate” field.

Am I missing something, or is this impossible? And if the latter, I’d really like this feature. For example, when a participant puts down their parents’ information, I’d like to not only create contact files for the parents and link them to the participant automatically, I’d also like to label that as a parent-child relationship.

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

I’m trying to figure out what strings to send along in an apps script interface in order to set values of checkbox contact fields.

For example, let’s say I’ve got a custom field “application stage” that has the options “new”, “interview”, “accepted”, and “rejected”. When I receive the application on one form, I want to set the status to “new”, and then after an interview I want to have a radio button on a second web form filled out by the interviewer that will set either “accepted” or “rejected”.

Do I send the string-values of the fields, or the numerical values 0, 1, 2, 3, or something else entirely?

Thanks in advance,

While I have seen many (including myself) looking for “log a meeting” or whatever specific activity type they use in their business, I would think there would be a way for users to create some simple custom activity types. It wouldn’t be difficult to make the users work from a predetermined set of functions or predefined logic. For instance I would like to add off the top of my head:

“log meeting” that creates a calendar event, includes a place for minutes or notes and attendees.

“site visit” that would create a calendar event, place for attendees, container for pictures, notes, and a proposed Scope of work

While I can create these things as activity templates I can’t filter a report that would easily display, “site visits in a given period or by rep”. I also can’t take a quick look at somebodies next actions and see that they have a Site Visit today from a convenient single line with a unique icon like I can with a “Logged call” for example. There are work arounds but I would like to see more than a “work around” a little more customization would go a long way to making this an easy experience for field level folks looking at their tasks lists and entering data from their phones between jobs.

I believe I asked this question before, but not on the forums (seeing if I can get more visibility from the broad base of the very helpful experts here!) but…a quick question. We are currently utilizing the functionality of Google Apps “Contact us” form example (http://norada.com/norada/crm/google_apps_contact_us_form_example/).

Is there a way to attach a file through the API and have it automatically uploaded to the contact on Solve360?
I have been able to do it through PHP, but I can’t see how to do this on the Google Form. If you go into the Google spreadsheet and the script editor, there is a File Upload that can be added to a form but it is marked as “experimental”.

The reason that I am asking is that we would have to re-engineer the existing contact us form(s) to PHP from Google Docs which I would rather not do at this point (if there is an easier method).
Basically what I would like is for the user to submit the demographic information through the Google “contact us” form and be able to upload a file (the same functionality in the Solve360 user interface where you: Add an Activity -> Upload Files from your computer.

Thoughts?
Regards,

Hi There,
We have a system where we can export our contact list via (xls, csv or xml). We have no issues importing them into 360 but the problem is, we will be doing this on a weekly basis to also update our records with new information. So when we do this, it is creating duplicate records or not updating to the correct contact.

Is there a way to have the email set as the primary “key” so that it can check duplicates based on email address? I’m assuming that for this to work - I would have to export to XML then tweak it to import correctly - but how do I check for duplicates based on email?

Thanks in advance :)

Will iContact ever be integrated with Solve360? iContact is a better service than Constant Contact, as it allows more customization of messages by providing a WYSIWYG editor. They also allow surveys from the same account without paying additional. I think that it would be a great integration for Solve360.
