Hi There!

Ive been looking at automating the process of bringing a client onboard, from the proposal process, through to the onboarding project (through a project blog), then converting this into a full customer contact, and managing the whole process (hopefully!) through Solve.

The web based software I’ve been exploring so far to do this sort of thing has been Quoteroller.com, proposable.com, gettinderbox.com, quoterobot.com and quotegine.com for instance.

None of these appear to have a published API, although some of them do claim to integrate with other platforms such as Highrise or Capsule.

My question is: Does solve have anything similar that it does integrate with, or, what is everyone else (other solve users) doing to accomodate this process? Lastly, say I find a product with an API, is it at all possible for me to build my own “glue” and extend solve to integrate with a non-approved 3rd party site such as quotegine.com?

This seems like an obvious fit for a CRM platform, being able to qualify a lead, turn it into an opportunity, produce and send a proposal, and get immediate feedback on wether or not the client has accepted the proposal, all in one interface!

Id love everyone/anyone’s thoughts or input!

First of all I was surprised that it’s not possible and then I was surprised that I couldn’t even find this kind of feature to be requested so far. Though I thought it should be a pretty much basic feature for a CRM(?)

That’s what I mean: If I log a call into a Project Blog, I’d like to select one of my contacts (the one I just spoke to) from the contacts been inserted already.
This way the contact would not be just a name typed into the memo, but a particular contact with all its background just a click away.
This way I could see all conversations (not depending on the contacts) in a Project Blog and I also can see all conversations (not depending on the topics) been held with a particular contact when I open it.

Isn’t it really a basic idea for a CRM?

And well.. a further ‘nice to have’ feature would be to insert a follow-up or next step by just checking a field and selecting a due date in the same dialog (anyway, during most of your calls you agree a next step to be taken).
But of course, this can at least be easily done separately, that’s why it’s just a ‘nice to have’ feature unlike the first one.

As part of our lead generation we assign a task list for each new prospect. One of the tasks is to send them a form letter. Usually we send 15+ letters at a time. It would be great to be able to complete the tasks in bulk as each prospect also has a tag that we can query. Is there some type of work around?

I noticed the “Real-time duplicate resolution” feature recently. That is because I have the NEED to create what amount to clone company data (satellite locations for large multi-location organizations) so it keeps popping up…

I have thought many times “I wish I could duplicate this company or contact”. Our target verticals typically have many locations with common ownership. Therefore, If I am setting up a client, I end up replicating information potentially dozens of times - the same billing address; the same corporate phone; the same related c-level management; the same tags etc.

That leads to opportunities to make mistakes - and means potential errors in searches, reports blah blah blah…

With a little tweaking, it looks like this new feature could do what I was hoping. Rather than merge - ALLOW and create the duplicate - thus allowing me to fine tune the dupe with the unique physical address; phone numbers; related contacts etc…

Am I missing some basic functionality that already exists in S360 that would allow me to accomplish my objective? Because, I cannot imagine I am the only one who would find that useful.

The ability to do the same with Projects woud be great as well.

Comments anyone?

Now that there are sections for forms is there any way that those sections and the information under them can tied to workgroups. This will allow for the ability to hide certain information from users and also make it so that only certain users can modify certain information.

This would be a level of customization that would be awesome.

Imagine your phone rings and the associated contact record in Solve360 opens automatically.

Many newer phone systems have a desktop software component that can be configured to open an external program when receiving an incoming call, passing along the incoming phone number as a parameter. You’ll need to check how to activated this feature on your specific call controller and how to enter the variable phone number. Here’s how to tickle Solve360 the right way:
