How can I use the API to get all emails in a given dropbox?

Pulling the permalink for contacts / project blogs

Love how when you click on the direct link for a contact / project blog you get the login and then a full screen focusing you on that contact / project blog.

It would be nice to be able to do two things:
1. use this as a insert-able field in Scheduled Emails
2. have this as an option in the API to futz around with.

Are those things possible?

Hi Forum,

I try to get a list of last changed contacts (or a change in their activities) using the API.

I try to call the API @ https://secure.solve360.com/contacts with:

<request><layout>0</layout><searchmode></searchmode><searchvalue></searchvalue><filtermode>updated</filtermode><filtervalue>2010-06-30T00:00:00+00:00</filtervalue><special></special><limit>1000</limit><start></start><sortfield>name</sortfield><sortdir>ASC</sortdir></request> 

This call returns a System Error. Does someone know the exact way to use the filtermode ?

Hi,

New to the API world. I thought that all fields inside of solve360 would have API names; including the ones that we custom create. Is this not possible, or have i missed the understanding of what the API feature is really for? I’m wanting to create a web form, but base it off the custom fields i have defined - not the stock fields already built into Solve.

When i look in the API tab i see all of the pre-named fields, but i do not see reference to any custom created fields.

Please advise.

API submission question - dual submission

Hi,

Not sure if this can be done easily. What i’m wanting to do is create a web form that submits data to 2 places. 1 of those places is Solve360 the other is 1shoppingcart. My question is… should i create an API-based solve web form, or should i create a 1shoppingcart form?

I’m a little out of my realm here, so need some advice.

Desktop Widget Proposal

Hello All,

I was wondering if any of you would be willing to help create a desktop widget for Solve360.

I am planning on integrating my company to start using Solve360, but we need a tool to help insert billable time / call records, and quick access to a contact’s address book from the desktop.

I am not a developer per-se, more of a sysadmin turned programmer because he is way too damn curious and likes to work with new technologies. So, that being said, I want to develop a little widget that will accomplish what we want.

Since we are not in the business of application development (Inventory Control Consultants), I will probably build this widget once, release it internally; and no one will know :(.

However, if there is a group of Solve360 users who are interested to help develop a Widget, (Not just say I want it, but help with Design, Programming, Testing), release it as open-source (GPL v3), and let it live on; I will be happy to collaborate and share the wealth.

Let me know; here are a few ideas I have.

- Widget must run on Mac OS x, Windows 7, *Nix
- Simple and easy to use
- Call Record Add
- Time Record Add, from TaskList in a ProjectBlog
- Simple Address Book Lookup by Contact
- Setup with Email & API Key

With that above I think I have an idea of how to build this application;
- Adobe Flex Application Deployed as an Adobe AIR Binary
- Access the Solve360 API directly
- Google Code OR GitHub for Collaboration

I have a little `widget` looking deal that I made in Adobe Flex; maybe we can expand on this OR scrap it. See image attached.

What do you all think!

Magento Integration

Has anyone worked with Magento & Solve360?

In our past setup, we used the transactional emails to generate actions once an order has been submitted. I think it would be killer to convert these to Opportunities, to view within Solve360.

However, I might see some problems.
- Weird Magento Module setup (Still reading on how to build one)
- Tight Integration of Contact/Company
- Data Integrity

#1 is finding a way to associate new orders (Contact Email?) to a company/contact.
#2 would be storing the contactid/companyid
#3 would be creating a new contact once a new customer profile has been created

I will be trying to figure that out, because our transactional emails will not be very useful if they dont tie-into a specific company/contact.

Hi. I would like to create some custom forms in Excel that extract data from Solve. Can this be done through API and could I get some instruction on how to get started with this?

I would like to have certain cells in excel populate with information such as company name, address, background, directly from Solve.

Group ownership

Hey all,

I’m trying to make entries added over the API owned by all users rather than by the creating user. I’ve tried setting the <ownership> value to the ID of the user’s company but I’m still receiving “Specified owner does not exist”.

Any ideas where I need to look for this?
