Customise Publish Notification

Hi

Know this is just a small issue, but I was wondering if there are any plans to allow customisation of the email sent out to contacts when you want to share/publish a project blog? Which would aloow us to change the word “document” to “project”?

We did a test by sharing a project with some members of our team, and due to the wording in the email they had expected to see a document and not an overview of the project, and so they were a bit confused.

“Greetings,

Sue has shared a secure document called “xxxx” with you. It’s not an attachment - it’s stored online. To open this document, just click the link below and enter your email address when prompted”

We were just thinking that if we wanted to share a project blog with our customers, would they also be confused a bit by the wording.

Thanks

Sue

Would love to be able to customize the entire wording that goes out, and include auto-populate of the name of the contact.
Subject line of the current setup, reads something like: Joe has shared…... Would be nice to customize the subject as well, so that we can reference a specific project name/number, or use our company name etc.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Could you provide a couple specific examples that you would like to see / use.  We could tweak the word “document” if that is not as clear as it can be.

@PKJR You can add your own logo (or your client’s logo) to the blog and it is used in the email that is sent.  http://norada.com/forums/viewthread/912/

One of our team members thought it would be good to give our customers an idea of what they would see when they click on the link to the project blog, so we have this suggestion ;-)

“Sue has shared a secure, online project page called “xxxx” with you. Here you will find information, documents, and tasks etc. related to the project. To open this page, just click the link below and enter your email address when prompted….. “

Know you have got a lot of featured requests to deal with, so we would be very happy with this shortened version too:

“Sue has shared a secure, online project page called “xxxx” with you. To open this page, just click the link below and enter your email address when prompted…..”

Thanks :)

Sue, we’ve implemented a variant of your short version already smile  Thanks for the tip!

The improvements you have made to the wording of the email are good but I would also like to add my name to the list of those who would like to see editable templates, and especially subject lines, for this email. At present, only having the sender’s name, and no company name, shown is also a problem for us. People are understandably cautious about what they click on these days and we feel that this could easily be filed in the recipient’s spam-box as it currently appears.

Auto-populated contact names would also be great, but the other changes would make it workable.

Typically, before we publish a project blog to a client I tell them in a conference call when we are launching the project and that I will send them the info, so they are expectin it. And/or I send them an email explaining that they will get a separate email with the project log in information. This actually isn’t any extra work, as I would have typically have to send them an email after the phone call anyways. This might work for you as well

Hi Dave
Thanks for your reply. I think your idea could be workable, but I am always looking for ways to reduce duplication and unnecessary work, so a proper solution would be my preference in the longer term smile
