The screenshots of Google Chrome look mighty interesting.

When you have time (after the dust settles) how about a comparison of browsers?

As previously suggested for working with Solve360, we switched to Foxfire.  But our business requires the downloading, viewing, etc. of many pdf files from ftp sites and Foxfire does not handle this well.

We usually cannot print a pdf from Foxfire and most of our online information providers do not play well with anything other than IE.

Foxfire works but now I see references to Safari as being faster.  Fast is good, so . . .

Presently, we do a lot of switching back and forth between browsers.

Is there a “one size fits all”?

Our initial tests with Google Chrome are going amazingly well. Not perfect, but damn close.  A few tweaks and it should be looking good.

Solve360 is a ‘JavaScript’ based application and http://is.gd/29K3 show a performance comparison that focuses on that aspect.  With Firefox 3.1 just around the corner, which promises big performance gains as well, it would appear that the moons are aligning.

What you are seeing is very recently Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome taking a HUGE lead in performance over all Internet Explorer versions.  Which is best?  To each his/her own.  I use them all :)

Will the madness never end - Safari, the fastest browser around these days, is about to get 300% faster, yeah!

http://is.gd/2RtS

That puts it about 900,000% faster that MSIE can dream of ;)

Google’s Chrome browser has an annoying bug that prevents activities from being displayed in the correct order.  We’ve monitored the progress of the issue for months now (it’s a documented bug) but they still have not fixed it.  Today we took the issue into our own hands and implemented a work-around so we can get on with enjoying all the love (clean UI and speed) Chrome provides.

Are you saying that you prefer Chrome over Firefox?

For WebApps I personally prefer Chrome over Firefox for its speed, uncluttered interface and special “App Mode” (see pics below).  However, since it’s so new I wouldn’t generally recommend it over the golden standard, Firefox, just yet.

For the record I recommend Chrome over any version of MSIE ;)

I noticed this behavior with Chrome, and thought that I had some setting wrong in the browser. Glad to hear it is fixed!
