Ability to Edit Existing Fields in Opportunity Activity

Hi, I wonder if anyone else is interested in the same thing.

I’d like to edit the Status item in the opportunities form. Even better if they could be linked to the percentage sliders and if the sliders could have their percentage displayed to the right of the slider so we’re not blind in the form view.

Or if we could remove the stage slider as that one is kinda redundant.

Ever BETTER if the value of the probability slider, or a field from the form could be linked and seen in a widget that can be placed in the Contact or Company form.

Best,

This is a particular area that folks seem to want TOTAL control over.  We’re listening…

Yes, control for:

*Labeling
*Fields that are used/shown
*Placement
*Put in custom fields within the opportunity placeholder box

and most important…..

*Tracking, reporting, a way to just call up lists of opportunities and sort by date, amount, stage, status, etc….

Why? Because this is the single more important reason people cite using CRM’s to increase their revenue…. thus the more powerful this are is…the better for everyone. If you can link the probability/other fields from opps to the top contact area with a widget(s) then that saves us time, we don’t have to scroll down.

You can already do this wonderfully with the contact form page, perhaps duplicate for opportunities?

I agree that the opportunity widgets could use some more functionality and optimization; they are key to the CRM portion of S360.

I’ve just come out of a company meeting with this on my to-dos.
We think that the “probability” and “stage” sliders would be more useful if you could allocate them words rather than percentages.  It may also be better to have buttons rather than a slider to increase visibility.  Every company will have a different meaning for “10%“ or “80%“ so this needs to be a customisable field.
Once this is achieved (and we stop having to use a look-up chart on a piece of paper), the sort function on the probability and stage columns in the activities dashboard still need to function in numerical order 10,20,30…% but show their given descriptions - note this should not be in alphabetical order.  This would be in order something like:
Enquiry
Discussion
Outline Concept to client
Site visit
Quotation
Order
Initial Payment
Work Commencement
Work Complete
Final Payment

My rough work around to this at the moment is to add a drop down list to the opportunities section which is quiet similar to your list. Unfortunatley though, someone has to manually update the sliders when making any change this list. I agree 100% that it should be linked to the “stage” slider or upgrading the slider to a drop down list with customized fields is the ideal scenario as it would then be easy to see the sales stage on opportunities. It is vital to have this kind of visibilty in sales trends along with the associated reports.
