Timeline - tasks

Hi,

I think that some lists of tasks are just litle things you want to remind. This kind of lists, I think, is not necessary that have to appear in the Timeline. Often this kind of lists are long and fill the screen. I mean that maybe there should be a checkbox in the tasks list to enable or disable the appearance of the task list in the Timeline.

Also I think that recurrent events or tasks should be able to appear in the timeline.

And letme say the last thing: It would be great to be able to modifie the duration of tasks directly on the Timeline screen. I am focused on projects and this would be perfect to plan the hole activity of the firm.

Thanks

Yes, like they do already in google accounts and google apps. A simple, easy line by line task list would be good.

The timeline report is not intended to be a place you manage tasks, rather it’s a place to plan the relevant sequence and dates of tasks.  So in this regard we feel it’s better to show all the tasks.

You can do this now by setting a Due date and Time remaining.  From that point you can simply drag the task to change the values.

A simple, easy line by line task list would be good.

Workspace > Activities Dashboard > Show next actions.

Maybe you should leave that choice to the users. Some may do things one way, others might be more visual and edit tasks when they see them. It really depends on who you are and how you interact with an app.

The ability to focus the timeline on one part of the project is key.  I second the suggestion.

No, not talking about viewing tasks line by line.

I mean able to quickly list tasks with a check box, which we can do on the fly. If you look at what Gmail and Google does, they do a good job with a little widget that opens up like a sticky note to jot down tasks.

Exactly, I think there must be some kind of lists (less important but necesary) that don’t need to be shown in the time line.
