Contact List Sort Order

Break the columns into lastname and firstname, and allow sorting on lastname to facilitate activities across Solve360 and alphabetically filed paper records.

Or did I miss how to do this?

Thanks for the tip.

PS: The Data > Export to Excel option provides names in separate fields currently.

Details:  I’ve got a pile of alphabetized sales opportunity folders.  I’ve got a matching category tag.

I pull up the list of opportunities to run down the list and work on the opportunities.  Not a big deal but its nice to have everything in matching order to process the pile.

The workaround is simple:  Look at the pile.  Find the name on the list. Click.  With the matching orders its just “Next!“.

Add it to the list for future changes.  Click column heading -> ascending by lastname.

So I tried to do this in Horizontal view.  It would seem to be the right solution. But:.......(there’s always a “But:.......“!)

The “Customize Form Fields” functionality shows separate fields for first and last name with distinct specs for their appearance on the horizontal format.  I’m getting the conjoined firstname/lastname field in a single column; sorted on firstname.  I can’t seem to get the two fields to appear in 2 columns so that I could sort on lastname.

Bug?  Pending change?
