Show “user logged in as”

In our company we’re very free and easy with our hardware - by which I mean that we often use each other’s computers, rather than what some of you may be thinking!
The problem is that Solve doesn’t show who are logged in as (although I note that the discussion forum does have this).
Can you enable this feature so we don’t start setting actions/sending emails as the person who was on the computer beforehand?

Let’s keep this forum PG13 if we can Carl ;)
I agree, in your case it would be nice to see who is logged into the system. However, because you are in the habit of sharing computers I would also suggest that you also establish some best practices as well. For instance, even if the system says that Carl is logged in, Cindy may not notice this and may start sending emails from Carl’s account. You may want to consider getting your staff in the habit of logging off after each use and making sure that the browsers do NOT remember the login information. You can also change the background and make it unique for each account. This will be more dramatic than a simple field displaying the login name.
Unfortunately our forum and our product are 2 different beasts so we don’t have a switch to turn that feature on. But I believe it is on our to do list.
Thank you Carl.

When you login to the application itself the current user’s email address is now displayed in the top of the screen in the browser’s page title (normally the tab).

Hmmm.  I’m running Chrome under Mac OS X Snow Leopard.  Has the Chrome for Mac been updated?

Yep, but you may need to clear the browser’s cache / restart the browser to catch the most recent version of our site.

Carl, changing the backgrounds is a great way to visually see that you are not using your own login. As long as you don’t have too many users and each person picks a different one. It is great. I use it here and use the concept in my QuickBooks files by making the check screen a different color for each Bank account so checks are not entered into the wrong one.

Gina, Thanks for the tip - that’s a really good idea, because I’m still not seeing the magic that SpecialOps claim to have done (I’m sure they have and it’s me that is being dense).  It would be nice to be able to upload backgrounds too, but that’s definitely on the “nice but unimportant” pile.

I see it when I run my S360 in Chrome using the application shortcut, but not when running it in a standard browser.
