webmail client

Do I have to use the web client to import emails?  If I remove the mail client will BCC’d mail still be attached to the corresponding contact?

Most other programs I have trialed allow me to mail straight out of my mac mail account(which I prefer).  I don’t like emailing from within Solve.  What I would like is from within a contact to be able to click on the email address and have that prompt my mac mailbox(this seems to be common behavior with other crm’s.)

The other thing the other crm’s seem to do is automatically prefill the BCC line when I click an email address to compose a new email.  This seems perfect. I hop solve has this possibility and I am just missing it.

To summarize: When clicking on a contact’s email address from within solve I would like Solve to launch my mac’s compose email box and prefill the BCC field with my solve email tracking address.  Is this possible?

Thanks in advance…....

Yes it will.  The goal is to simply get the message to our system and Bcc does that.  Bcc is the most basic and most universal method of integration.

Yes this is the way the system works: when you click on an email address in Solve it will launch your desktop email program and set the To and Bcc fields automatically for you IF you do not have the Webmail client Add-on enabled OR do not have settings configured under Webmail > Settings sending.  More info on this is at http://norada.com/answers under Attaching emails as activities

Sorta a related question. When composing and replying in Gmail, is there a way to have the BCC field automatically populated with the Solve dropbox address?

I assume by removing the webmail client I will not be able to send out scheduled emails?
