Job Title not showing up under Contact Name

For some reason all of my contacts do not show their job title underneath their name like they used to. When I make new contacts, however, they job titles do show up. Is there something I haev done that could have turned the job titles showing up off? I remember editing permissions and then it was this way. Thanks

Darn I found out when editing permissions I removed all links. Is there anyway to retrive links between company and client?

The contact needs to be linked to a company to show the second line in the list e.g. jobtitle for companyname

Can you elaborate - do you mean workgroup permissions?

well when i selected all contacts there was a Permissions option that came up on the blue tab above the contacts, next to delete. I wanted all the permissions to be the same, so i moved them from one employee having permissions to the whole company. It asked me if I wanted to update permissions or remove links, and my stupid self clicked remove links. Luckily, all I have to do is re-link company and contact, which is pretty easy since the company comes back up after typing a few letters.

Ah, got it!  Yes the linking them is pretty fast.  However, if you have a lot here’s a tip to link them in batch: importing contacts will update the records having the exact same name, so if you import only first name, last name and company name the existing contact records will be linked to the existing company records.
