Google App Question

I am a one man office.  I currently use gmail and google calendar(and have for years).  Is google apps primarily for enterprise customers?  I am trying to see if there is any value there.  I would like to Sync my current contacts(currently in my mac/iphone/ipad) to google and take advantage of the caontact sync between google and solve.

So my question is: Is there any benefit for a single user paying for google apps?  Do I have to have a google apps account to sync contacts between google and solve?

Thanks…..

Solve syncs contacts with “Google Accounts” and “Google Apps” accounts.  We’ve highlighted the differences in a new tutorial at http://norada.com/answers “Everything Google”.

So if I understand it right I should be fine with my regular Gmail account.  I will still be able to integrate my contacts, mail, and calendar.

Thanks for posting the link!

Yep, for the basic integrations.

Moving ahead though there will likely be more integration features available with Google Apps than with Google Accounts (the current example is single-sign-on).

By the way there is a free version of Google Apps http://google.com/a

I have a very small operation and I like Google Apps for the professionalism and integrity it presents. Using doesn’t have the same impact on my clients as has. My business is all about trust.

@ Gina, are all of your clients local or do you work over long distances?  What kind of services do you provide?

Most are local but I do both. Email me your email address and I’ll address your questions off the forum.

I can echo Gina’s comments; apps provides a level of professionalism and control over your email and calendar.  Also, it scales well.  I was a solo office, now I’m using VA’s and considering an employee.  Just have to add more App’s users.
