Is there any way to change the private/shared status on all contacts at once.
example: a number of names where loaded as private and know we want to make them all shared or “NOT” private.
Anyone know how to do this.. poked around but I can not figure it out

I think I may have figured it out? When you select a number of contacts in the list to the left the “context sensitive” menu header at the top of the contact window normally changes to allow you to mass delete, etc..
For some reason this feature is not working. Is this a bug or a user error?

Hi Pete. Just select all contacts, then click permission and assign accordingly.
Workspace > Manage Contacts > “Select All” > “Permissions”

Hi
I’m able to select/tick off contacts on the left, and then click on “change Permissons” in the menu above, to make those contacts shared or private. Using Chrome 5.0.375.99.

Thanks - I was aware of the way it was supposed to work.
Here is what happened:
I can NOT recreate this.. One user was logged in Solve on the PC (went through GoogleApps) and could not access the contacts because of permissions.
Second user (Solve account Administrator) logged in through a different account.
As stated above:
” When you select contacts in the list to the left the “context sensitive” menu header at the top of the contact window normally changes to allow you to mass delete, etc.. “
For some reason this feature WAS not working. The menu header was NOT changing. I closed the first user Solve 360 window and then it worked.
Still working now, and I could not recreate, but if it happens again I will re-post here.

@davieboy
Did you have two instances of Solve running in separate windows on your PC when this happened?
If so, where you logged in under one user name or two different ones?

@Pete
Pete I was logged in from another location on the same account. I have since closed both accounts and restarted with just opening 1 account. Still having the same problem. I am using firefox.

@Pete
It seems to be ok now. Just curious about a possible related issue. When I select more than 1 company should i be seeing the same menu offering delete and change etc?

Seems I spoke too soon. This is a very annoying bug that is appearing on all browsers on different machines in different locations. None of my browsers have any toolbars etc installed and are all the latest versions.
In Chrome when I select all companies to edit their permissions the menu never appears. It works for Contacts and projects blogs.
In firefox it just doesn’t work at all.
In internet expolorer it only works on project blogs.
As I am setting up solve360 for my company you can imagine that this is EXTREMELY frustrating as I cannot set permissions for the hundreds of contacts or companies 1 by 1. Please help

Sue I suggest you open a support ticket as I have just done the same.
Thanks

Hi Davieboy
This is not an issue I need resolved today. Saw your post and was interested in testing it - to see if the same occurred on my side. The support and help I have received from the Norada Support Team has always been fanstastic - second to none really - so I have every confidence that this issue will be soon addressed for you.

Sue,
The reason I mentioned you should create a support ticket is so that the support system that solve use will be able to register it as a bug that is affecting more than one user. From my experience posting bugs on forums and not on the support site actually can lead to the bug not getting on the to do road map of the support team.
Many thanks for your input

Thanks everyone. Our bad, we introduced a bug when expanding the field selection options. It should be working normally again now (close browser, relogin to get the latest version of our site).
