Hi Stormer. I would probably recommend that you either delete or merge the columns in Excel. Some users may want to delete that data, but others may want to use it in different ways.
I cant think of a reason that anyone would want all of that info in the header. For example, I have created a custom field call “STATUS” from which I can choose “Completed”, “Lead”, “Lost”,“Needs Analysis”, “On Hold”, “Proposal” and “Won”.
This works great because I can search all projects based on status. When I export to excel, though, all seven of the status options show in my header at the top of the column (column title). The status of each project is in its proper rows under the column header. I just would like to see a column header with ONLY the field title and not all of the options.
There is some data that I dont use and I do, in fact, delete those columns. I’m just asking if you can streamline the headers so that they only include the Field Title. Right now this is what the excel column headers look like when using multi-select option:
Status^^Completed||Lead||Lost||Needs Analysis||On Hold||Proposal||Won
or better yet, with 17 options, this is what I get as a column header:
Product/Service^^#10 inserting||Count and bundle||DATA - cleaning||DATA - NCOA||Digital Printing||Distribution||Hand Inserting||KONICA||Labelling||Large format inserting||Laser Print||Ink-jet||Offset||Polybagging||Postcard||Tabbing||Variable data - numbering
Understandably, I would just prefer “Status” or “Product/Service” as my column headers.
Again, just let me know if it is do-able at your end. It would certainly make for a cleaner looking report. And again, I realize I can highlite and delete all of the info I dont want, I would just prefer not to have to do it EVERY time I download to excel.
Thx
