I have successfully published the ical link and can view it along with my other gcal calendars. That’s great. The issue is that I use gcal as a sync hub to the iphone etc. Is there any way to have my Solve360 Activities publish directly to my main gcal calendar, rather than just subscribing to a separate calendar as it is set up now.
I don’t need to make changes in gcal, what I’m looking for is really just a one way synch from Solve360 to a specific gcal calendar.
Thanks,
Neil

Hi Neil, as of now we have 1-way synch, but S360 calendars publish separately. If you haven’t already please view the tutorials at:

You can do an import manually to get the events copied onto your primary calendar, but that might cause duplicates if you do it repeatedly. I had this same issues using a 3rd party appointment app - it would only show my free/busy on the main calendar, not ical subscriptions. I wasn’t able to come up with anything either.
I know S360 might be working (or at least I hope they are working) on a true two way sync, which would resolve this.

Yes. I got the one-way publishing set up. The tutorial is pretty clear about that.
Just wanted to check if I was missing anything in terms of a sync to my own gcal. This will work fine as I’ll just use gcal from my iPhone directly and skip a native sync in that direction.
I must say, that your software is pretty slick. I’m calling the Salesforce.com guy tomorrow to give him the bad news.

Hi Neil, Thanks for the kind words. It may not likely accomplish what you trying to do, but just so you know, you can access Solve from your iPhone. http://www.norada.com > Intro Video & Screen Shots

Engineering SpecialOps - Jul 14, 2010 04:07pm Hi Neil, Thanks for the kind words. If you wouldn’t mind repeating them in the Google App marketplace, it would be much appreciated. I’ve got my s360 calendar publishing to my Gcal…. C’est bon!
I’m just wondering how long it normally takes to propagate newly added activities to the google calendar. Does it happen automatically ever “X” minutes? Is there a way to force it manually like there is with the Contacts?

time it takes seems to be totally random
the problem is at Google’s end. If you search the Google Calendar forum you’ll see all sorts of people begging Google to fix their calendaring issues

Thanks man. I’ve gotta say…. Solve 360 is a great product. It’s obviously a pretty intense process to try and manage all of these requests and the billions of little issues along the way. What I’ve really really enjoyed about my experience with S360 so far is how on the ball you are with responding to these types of questions and concerns that people have. Gives me a tremendous amount of confidence in choosing Solve360 to build my company on.
Cheers.

I’m just an avid user and live in my Solve system all day, I’m not part of the Solve team
There is lots of great experience in the forums from lots of great people.
Steve and the Solve team are second to none for support and service. No doubt about that and they have fostered a great user forum as well

Well that’s a major pain in the @$$. Few hours later and nothing. So I unsubscribed, quit the browser, started up again, logged in, re-subscribed and it was there. To me that confirms what you’re saying that Google isn’t reaching out for the info like it should be. Oy Vay! Why can’t it all just work? It’s issues like this that make me feel like I’m crazy for not just sticking with a normal machine based application system.
