My suggestion for an enhancement would be to create a “Website contact Page Builder” that would be a form accessible from the “My Account” menu (a new Tab perhaps) that you would insert your API Token (or have it pre-populated), e-mail ID and some tick boxes that allow you to select which fields you want on the webpage and when you click “OK”, it would build the ready made code to paste directly at your website without the daunting task of having to read through and edit the PHP sample supplied (for those of us not experienced in PHP). This would be another step in making Solve 360 easy for companies to get up and running quickly.
Some further refinements - perhaps you could use a similar interface to the editor you use to add custom fields within Solve 360. If you could have access to all the built in contact fields (standard and custom for Contact at least) using this Website builder to insert on your website, it would be quite easy to make one or more capture pages quickly.
If this takes off, I could suggest trying to use the same drag and drop interface to produce a custom data extract or a custom report from within Solve 360 and this might eliminate a number of requirements to ever learn PHP.

For those just tuning in, I believe bcharters is referring to this: http://www.norada.com/answers > “Solve360 programming reference (API)“ > Introduction
Here we help Solve360 users create a “Contact Us” page on their website so that the user info is pumped directly into the CRM. bcharters idea is to simplify this even more. Though we may not be able to act on any response in the near future, this would be a god opportunity to find out how many of you have not used this feature because it was too daunting. Thanks for bringing this up bcharters.

This subject is very apropos as i have just hired a fine young lad to handle the creation of my webpage/form.
Look/listen closely and you will find able bodies and minds here in this very forum ;)
I certainly didn’t attempt to do this myself(If my eyephone doesn’t have “an app for that” I am handcuffed.

Would really like to have this feature.
Have read the info about API’s and although I have the concept down, the implementation is a bit daunting.

I was under the impression I needed WordPress to get it to work using the api, which I don’t understand anyway.

Hi,
Tried the basic example contact page and have this working. But… we are not php/api orso whatever programmers, but do want an interactive form on our website. Do I hire someone to make it or is a more extended form available that we can tune to our needs?
Thanks in advance.

I’m with the general thread here. API is a bit too daunting when there is so much else to do in my business. I’ve read the guidance notes and could probably achieve something, but my eyes have not been opened to the potential of this interface. A couple of examples would be great.

We’re thinking of launching a webform -> solve360 service, if you’re interested please drop me an email at capture {AT} vm-associates.com and I’ll add you to the list when we go live,
cheers

The API approach sounds like a lot of work. The method I’m considering is to have my website contact form send me an email with the contact as vCard attachment. Open the message in webmail, and add to contacts with one click. no API programming required…

Question - perhaps I’ve missed it, but how to you import a single vCards right into Solve.
Just an update on my original ask - I did get our web Contact Page setup to work after getting a fellow who knew PHP to help, so my original need is met, although it would still be nice to have a slicker interface.

Bump…
What is the Norada team doing about this issue? Making a webform without having to have programming knowledge seems not to be to much to ask?

I’d agree that giving some more help on this would be welcome. I know my way around HTML and Php code well enough to have no problem with implementing the contact form as given, but figuring out how to do more than that with the API (like searching or updating existing contacts) is still beyond me. I like the flexibility offered by giving users easy access to the API, but I’d benefit a lot from some additional code examples. There are a ton of functions in Solve360Service.php - I haven’t got an idea how to use most of them.

Does the MailChimp integration allow for this? That was what I was planning to pursue. My understanding was I could use MailChimp to create the webform, and since it is integrated with S360, it would push the contact info in to Solve. Is this correct or am I off on this?
I have no idea how to do API stuff and no time/energy to learn. Need things to be as simple as possible to get all the systems playing nice together…
