We don’t plan to continue developing Wave as a standalone product, but we will maintain the site at least through the end of the year and extend the technology for use in other Google projects.
Wow. When you see how much work Google put into this project you start to understand just how much cash they have available to try new things.
This is a real shame- I think they didn’t get the uptake because only developers understood the potential. We trialled it and just got confused - but it is/was a completely new approach to communication.
