Project Blog Notifications - Question on settings

I’ve been playing around with the project blog notifications for increased efficiency in communicating project details to our clients…

1) Is the from email address when a project notification or “task - on completion” activates based on who’s currently logged in and causing such activity or on the default identity in webmail? If based on who’s causing the activity (ie. adding new task list or completing task), can this be changed to a generic email address for all users?

2) On the conditions for project blog notification, is there any plans to add a “on task completion only” option? I know we can manually enter an email address for each task item to be notified on completion, but we create/complete various tasks constantly. It’ll save us some time if we can enter a contact in the notifications area for the entire project blog to receive auto-notifications only on task-completion. Usually our client is the one requesting an item that gets added to our task list so we see it a bit redundant for them to receive an email on task creation as well. At times we also create a task and finish it within 10-15 minutes thus bombarding our client with back-2-back emails.

Thank you for your time and possible workaround for the above items. Overall I’m very satisfied with Solve360 and will most likely continue beyond my trial.

Greetings JLR,

Thanks for your questions.

When a task is completed or change to any activity triggers a notification the FROM address is the email address that the current user uses when they login (unrelated to the webmail identities currently).  There is no way to alter this unless the current user is using a role account etc.

Adding a notification option only for task completion is a great idea.  I’ve added to the list of features we consider for the updates.

That’s great to hear!
