Mass Updates

Nov 26, 2008 07:58am peterlkelley Lyncean 66 posts	In addition to search by Empty and Not Empty, it would also be useful to be able to apply mass updates to fields other than Tags. Explanation: Right now, you can check a bunch of contacts on a list, and Solve360 then gives you the option to Add or Remove a certain Tag from just those contacts. Can a way be created to change the contents of other fields in the same manner? This would be useful in cleaning up data already imported, or filling in contents for fields unique to Solve360—especially fields created after a particular set of contacts was already imported. A workaround I guess would be to export just those records; delete them entirely from Solve360; clean them up in Excel; and reimport them.

Actually, since an import updates existing records (does not duplicate) you just need to reimport the records with the updated fields (no delete needed, a delete would remove the contact activity history and would be missed on a standard export/import too).

We work with financial institutions - their names and players are changing rapidly. You may have noticed. It would be nice to update company name changes; addresses, etc without the export/edit/import idea. Kathleen
