Deleted workgroup by mistake, now contacts inaccessible

We created several workgroups, then decided we only needed two.

So, we instructed Solve360 to delete the other workgroups, one at a time. (Note: We did not refresh the screen in-between). This resulted in our erroneously deleting our main workgroup that all the contacts were “shared” with, called Staff. (It was never highlighted for deletion, but possibly because we didn’t refresh the screen in-between, when we highlighted another workgroup for deletion, Solve360 deleted the Staff workgroup instead.)

So, we just re-created the Staff workgroup under the same name.

Trouble is, now none of our contacts are accessible to anyone anymore. They’re apparently still shared just with the OLD Staff workgroup, and not with the NEW Staff workgroup!

Can you help us restore access to our contacts under the Staff workgroup name?

Hi Peter, I renamed the second workgroup you created called “Staff” to “Staff_new” then opened the Deleted Items and undeleted the original workgroup call “Staff”.  I can now see the data owned by the Staff workgroup.  Is everything as you need it now?

Thanks! Imagine that, Deleted Items even works for a workgroup.

Everything is again as we need it to be.

Great!  Yes, the undelete works at any level and restores all of the items under it e.g. workgroups, contacts, task-lists, task etc.  It’s an uncommon feature but with our previous experience we knew it would come in handy now and then wink
