“Sticky” items for the tops of our blogs

Long blog posts (for instance, a meeting note), are still proving impossible for us to reposition once the notes scroll past the bottom of the page.

Thus our To-Do lists get pushed down, and can’t be “moved” back up to the top.

So, two feature requests:

- “Sticky” items for the tops of our blogs, like you have at the tops of these forum topics

and,

- Ability to have a long post move freely even if it occupies more than a screenful, as many of our meeting and call notes do.

We’ve been thinking about this for a while one of the things we plan to try is to scroll the viewport (page) when you drag near/outside the area.  Following most desktop apps this is the typical / expected behavior.  We’ll be doing some experimenting with this in the next week or two.

Thanks! Will be welcome, and you’re right, that’s how most other desktop apps do it.

However you are making “sticky” notes at the top of some of your forums, perhaps we could also use that method to “stick” an item at the top of our blogs.

I think we have a solution working in our quality assurance world, if all goes well you should see it in a day or two.

The change is in.  The best way to have the viewport automatically scroll is to drag the item over the scrollbar.

Add my vote to the sticky items for blogs AND contacts regardless of the sort chosen. But you already know that <g>.
