Hi, I look after the global construction and civil engineering business for IE. (http://www.ie-sps.com) We develop and sell an innovative structural material that offers an alternative to concrete and steel in large structures such as high rises, sports stadium, bridges and ships. We sell into project teams involving many different companies across the world and because of this need many-to-many relationships in our project and contact tracking. Off the shelf programmes such as Salesforce and Act just can’t do this, higher end programmes can but all of them are complicated. Congratulations for achieving something so simple that actually allows us to simply track and manage complexity.

One initial question: you have standard linked fields set up in a blog (eg: company). Can we copy this field or create another similar field? (I would like to indicate that one company is the architect for the project and another is the engineer.)

Thanks

Greetings Guy!  Thanks for taking the time to tell us about your business.  I’m a strong believer in using technology to improve legacy applications.  SPS seems to be a good example of that.  Hopefully the expected investment in infrastructure will create some good opportunities in North America for your teams and bring some new efficiencies to old problems.

The Related-To feature has turned out to be extremely useful and we plan on enhancing this so you can add a mention of the type of relationship as part of the related-to link.  Many clients have recently mentioned this would be useful and I think this is what you are looking for.
