Sharing with colleagues

If I share the company record with a colleague it seems that all linked records also have to be shared. Is this the case?

Jan 22, 2009 08:20am Engineering SpecialOps Administrator 4124 posts	Yes it is; all the linked items must have the same permissions. If we permitted different permissions users would see links that they could not use creating confusion. When you change the permissions you are prompted if the linked records should also be updated or if you want the link removed. You could separate them and make a note in the background field.
