actions assigned report

The ‘next actions assigned to’ is a massive help however, as a project manager, I would really like to be able to see a similar report detailing actions I have assigned and to whom I have assigned them. Does anyone know if there anyway we can currently do this? If not, a ‘next actions assigned by’ report would be really helpful!
Thanks in advance for your help :)

Thanks for the tip. We are not implementing this currently as we find it’s not a very client focused approach. We feel client project managers should care about all the tasks, not just theirs, and if they are working on a component, they should be looking at a specific tasklist on a project page - if you’re managing a phase/sprint, working from a tasklist on the project pages may be more effective.

Thanks for the reply. I need to be able to look at all of the tasks that have been assigned to members of my team. Looking at specific tasklists on project pages is simply not practical as we have a huge number of projects with associated tasks going on at the same time. I understand that I can view the tasklists of any of my team members but again, with a large team, it is not very practical to view each report individually. Is there anyway I can view all tasks assigned to several people in 1 report? Is it possible to group people as team members and then report on the group?
Also, is there any other way we can see who originally assigned a task? If an email notification wasn’t sent when the task was assigned, I can’t see how we can identify who assigned it. Not a problem in a smaller company but with numerous people over different buildings, we won’t be able to refer back to the originator if we need to (ideally, we wouldn’t need to refer back but unfortunately, we’re all human). Instead of a new report for ‘next actions assigned by’ perhaps an additional ‘assigned by’ field in the existing ‘next actions assigned to’ report would solve this.

The filter by assigning sets of people is a good suggestion e.g. change the single option to a set of checkboxes, but it’s not the way it works currently. For now, in the ‘Next Actions Assigned To’ report, you can choose to see the tasks assigned to an individual, workgroup or anyone. So this could be a way to see the report on the group( workgroup).

To make the “originator” of the task more visible, you could add a custom field to tasks and they’ll be there when you open the task up. Another suggestion that might be of interest is to maybe generate a simple custom report via the API. You could build whatever you need. Is there way to assign two people to a task?  We are aware of the Workgroup but that is quite limiting for a business like deany_uk and ours.  This could be a work around that allows for the PM to assign it to themselves and still see what is the status of it along with whom it is assigned elsewhere.

These are necessary PM tools, Solve not having them is quite concerning.

Teams may follow different work styles, but tasks in Solve are designed to make one person ultimately responsible for it - the “single throat to choke or go-to persona as it were”, even if there are multiple people involved in completing it.  This design considers a phenomena in psychology called “pluralistic ignorance”.  Our interpretation: if you make more than one person responsible, nobody is responsible.

The workaround is that the task title/description can be used to indicate who is doing which part etc.
