If you are referring to the Activities Dashboard, Next Actions screen the purpose of this area is to clear items from the screen i.e. once they are checked they are removed from view.  Completed items are always visible from the underlying contact / project blog.  If you needed to add notes to the item before completing it you would currently click on the For link to take you to the page for editing.

We plan to add a “notify on complete” feature to the tasks which include a email address and a completed date.

In order for the reminder option to be enabled the task need to be assigned to someone i.e. set the “Responsible” dropdown to a user.

I really like the layout of Activites Dashboard. However, after using the Next Actions screen for a few weeks now, I would like to request the following two enhancements for your consideration:
1)Post Comment: I find myself marking an activity complete but neglecting to post important notes (that may have a serious impact on me or my project)because it requires too many steps. I know it may not seem like a big deal, but leaving the page and toggling back and forth between specific project blogs and activites just to leave a simple note doesn’t seem real fluid - so as a result I find that I just don’t leave as many as I would like to.

For example: If I complete a task a day after its due date (which is way too often!) I could simply post a comment noting the actual date the item was completed.

Time stamping and the accurate recording of dates are extremely important in my business and having the “post comment” functionality available next to each activity on the Next Actions screen would Solve ;) this.

2) Editable Date: The ability to drag and drop or hit a calendar icon to re-schedule an activity from the Next Actions screen would be a huge help as well. Since this screen provides me with a snapshot of all of my activities for all of my projects it would much easier to manage/edit them from this page as well. Again, with the current configuration I need to toggle back and forth to each different project to re-schedule my activities and I find that I just don’t do it.

Anyway, sorry for the long post, but you guys rule and I really appreciate your product and excellent service. Keep up the great work!

Just before diving into your comments I’ve like to ask if you were aware that you can edit each task’s title, detail and date directly from the Next Actions report (by double-click on each field)?

Thanks for the update - I was aware that you could edit the title, but I was not aware that you could edit the date. That is great! For some reason some of the dates pop-up with a calendar when I double click on them but there were a few that don’t. Any ideas?...I’m using Chrome. I still would love the ability to ‘post comment” if at all possible. Thanks again!

From the next actions report you can currently modify the date for milestones and tasks but not calendar events.
