Field to recognize revenue

Love your product, but we need the ability to have multiple values in revenue opportunity to recognize revenue at different times:

Example:
Date for closing the deal
Date for initial revenue for that year
Date for revenue the year the service is completed

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad, Thanks for the feedback.

We have the close date now.  Could the second and third dates be seen as a range or are they somewhat unrelated i.e. Revenue start - Revenue complete etc?

Currently the only way you could add this additional information is by adding it to the description.

No, each could be different and different amounts or time. We book group cruises for companies for incentives and training. If the ship sails a year after the deal is closed(common) and its not a charter, then we don’t realize the revenue until it sails. With charters, we get some revenue when the deal closes, some revenue later in the year it closes and then more when the charter sails.

We report on deals closed in a year and revenue dates, so need that flexibility if possible.

Thank you for the fast response. Very impressive.

Hi Brad, you could use an artifical contact for each accounting event, which is related to the major case (company or blog). Each contact can hold an opportunity. When you report “outside” solve360, you can group the artificial contacts again.

I’ve set up a similar solution and it works well - my only concern is going forward, workarounds like this might nip me in the butt as Solve develops.

Hi Brad, maybe you should use an accounting system - have a look at

i’ve been looking at the now renamed Working Point and like the direction they’re heading. it’s a very simple book keeping system - i haven’t had enough time to thoroughly run through a trial but so far I like what i see
