New feature: Activities Report

Today we introduced a simple but extremely useful report that lists activities saved anywhere in the system.  It answers questions like “how many calls were made last week”, “what’s happening in all of our Acquisition projects”, “what tasks were completed while I was away”, etc.  The report provides a simple way to filter by:

- Type of activity (call logs, events, notes, tasks, opportunities)
- Last change type (created, modified, and when only the task type is selected also completed)
- Person or group that made the change
- Date range
- Items to search (contacts, companies, project blogs – and all related category tags!)

A nice touch is when choosing modified as a search type the report will also show any comments that were added to the individual activities.

This report shows the latest state of each activity which differs from the “Show recent activity” report which shows a log of actions that occurred over time.

To access this new report simply click Workspace > Activities Dashboard “Show activity list …”.

Is it possible to show activity changes including both modified and created? I want to see all the activity for a tagged group of contacts, but it seems like I have to toggle back and forth between “modified” and “created” which is very inconvenient.

I am unable to to see Activity List.. the only item visible is ‘activity changes for’

@Ben not currently but I’ll forward the tip to the team.

@PKJR since this post was created a year ago the report was changed from “activity list” to “activity changes for”.

I see. if that is the case, perhaps those sticky notes should really be pinned down to this board and not sorted by the last post.. I lose track of what is the latest implemented feature (that I am missing perhaps?) and I am unable to find a separate timeline on our website/forum showing showing what’s new..

Can a feature be added in the future allowing only the Admin to delete contacts?
Reps and others could mark a contact to be deleted but only the Admin could actually delete the contact. The system will not currently allow reps to be locked out of deleting contacts.

Deleting is not such a serious issue with Solve; if it happens the item can be undeleted under Workspace > Deleted Items instantly.

On the ‘next actions assigned to’ page It would be nice to be able to zero in on a single project or contact category through the use of filters. The Project Blogs page is great for the overview and project building but doesn’t work so well as a task list. Thanks

Have there been any movement on allowing the viewing of both created and modified activity types at once? This is sort of a make or break feature if I want to have my whole team on the system. Seems like something that would be fairly simple.

@mkastner We agree it’s worth adding this option.  Now the team is getting ahead of the major Google integration work, we expect to be circling back to add some love to some of these reports.
