When exporting the contacts from Google what file format did you try?  Solve should work with both the CSV and vCard options.

I got it to work.  I actually tried both CSV and vCard formats.  Then I let it rest a day and tried again and it worked like a charm.

The only way I got Google contacts to Import is to Export to the vCard format, then import in S360 as vCard. But I have one main problem: I’m in France so many of my contacts have accents (é, è, ç, etc) in their names and those get imported as strange characters.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

UPDATED: looks like i got it to work. I exported it as contacts.CSV. Then opened the CSV file and saved it as a new file contacts2.CSV

Then imported it and it works. Strange…......

UPDATED 2 - so the above Update fixed the accent issue. Now I have the issue where I have the addresses in my Google contacts as (for example):
123 ABC Street
Paris, 75005

but when this gets exported to a CSV file, only the first line of the address (123 ABC Street) gets put into the spreadsheet, and when I import the CSV file into S360 nothing gets put in for the address (but phone, mobile, notes, name company all get imported without issue)

Anyone else experience this? Is this a Google problem because their Contacts section of the Gmail is horrific (you can’t even do an “Add new contact from same company” like you can in Outlook). Other than Contacts I love Google!

Thanks again!

@dspence if you’d like us to take a look at the vCard or CSV file just email it to our support team and they’ll be happy to take a look at it for you.

BTW We are also testing a generic CSV import (with field mapping) so we can import contacts from almost anyting now.
