New features:
- Activity “Templates”
- CSV import with custom field mapping
- Linked e-mail integration with Webmail
- Blackberry Web application
Why you will love it:
- Event email notices now include an iCal meeting attachment, recipients can use this attachment to create and update Event details in their own calendar program. This is super cool for the recipients, who can use the attachment to easily create and update Event details in their own calendar program.
- Now, you have the option of creating a list of “external attendees.” These outside peeps will now be in the know by automatically receiving all Event notices and reminders.
- Our API now supports the Next Actions, Activities List, Opportunities and Time Tracking reports. Phew. That’s a lot of support.
- The API now supports applying Templates and creating Category Tags. This will really help those who are setting up a n automated workflow. For example, creating a contact then automatically assigning a follow-up and nurturing plan.
- IE8 is now supported. We wanted to share the love with you IE8 folks too.
Some slight improvements:
- The mobile Web application for iPhone and Blackberry has been refined. Now it displays what an Event is linked to in the Event’s title and we added the date in the list view for Next Actions.
- The mobile Web application for iPhone and Blackberry will now remember your e-mail account and password using the “remember” option. One less password to type in using that small keyboard.
- Events, Opportunities and Milestones now show the number of days from today the activity will occur. A little extra assurance you’re in-sync with your deadlines when setting up time dependent activities in an activity Template.
- In the Activities Dashboard > Next Actions report clicking on the link in the For field of an Event record will now open the Event form
- The import Contacts process was enhanced to support very large files. Because we know you have a growing list of clients to manage and we didn’t want the process to time-out.
- The iCal feature available in the Activities Dashboard > “Show Next Actions” and “Show Calendar Events for” reports will now only display Tasks that have a due-date as an Event in your calendar. Also, all Tasks will now be displayed as “To Dos” for applications that support it (come-on Google!).
- In the Webmail window we added right-click support in the message list. You right-clickers can put your finger back to work.
- Your Next Actions can be long and detailed. The Activities Dashboard > Next actions report will now display multiple lines in the description field (if needed).
- The Contact’s toolbar now supports filtering Companies by Private and Shared with… Your private Companies deserve their own club.
- The iCal feed tells you more. The Activities Dashboard > Calendar > iCal feed now shows what the Event is linked to in the Event title.
- That HTML jumbo is cleared up. We removed any HTML formatting found within the background field value in the CSV file produced under Contacts > Data > Export this list.
- Your read-only guests can now have an all-access pass. A guest accessing a published Project Blog can change the status of the Section activity, even when they have read-only access.
- A new “Carbon Fiber” background to match your kit car.
Bug fixes:
- The iPhone web application’s Contact search feature will now always return results in the order they were typed
- Total Time Tracking hours displayed in a Task’s title will now show decimal values correctly
- The Activities Dashboard > Opportunities report now shows the of total amount of decimal amounts correctly
- A couple uncommon Repeating Event configurations are now working as expected
- In the Activities Dashboard > Calendar > iCal feed the location field is now updated correctly
- In the Activities Dashboard > Activity report we corrected a date range filtering issue and a filtering by groups of users issue
- Webmail has undergone a major revision where we corrected all issues reported during beta testing period e.g. reading some attachments, sent message displaying an empty message body, etc.
Additional items:
- Our team has also produced a foundation of scripts that use our API to import relational information into our system preserving all related-to items, categories and activities. Essentially this enables us to import custom databases in hours instead of days.
