Emails, comments and Section Headers

Hi, this was originally posted as a feature request but I don’t think it was seen there.  Since now in S360 there is no way to move files around internally we feel the below email handling enhancement would really free up the system.  Thus using emails as vehicles to shuttle files to needed locations.

A beautiful feature would be to have the ability to place emails in multiple places within a blog and to be able to comment on them individually.

As it stands now emails appear all in one block and it not possible to make another block of emails within the same blog.  It is also not possible to comment on individual emails. We can only comment on the whole group. What’s the point of commenting on a group of emails that may be all different unless we could sort the mail into multiple groups before commenting or comment on each one.

Two things would really help:

1) Being able to put a single or group of emails under any section header.

2) Being able to comment on or notate an individual email.

Since using email is ‘so far’ the only way to move files around in S360 without involving a local computer, being able to comment on individual emails and place them anywhere in the blog would be an incredible organisational tool.

Have you thought of setting the email free within a blog?  What are the chances of this? Any one else think this would be a positive addition to the already amazing S360?

Thanks;)

Thanks for your feedback James.  The primary purpose of the linked-emails feature is to record history.  Clients send and receive a lot of email so this feature is optimized to specifically do a good job at handling that case i.e. low touch, in a simple paginated list.  If a email forms the basis for work / conversation it can be pasted into a formatted note.

Instead of working around the system it would be best for us to understand your example of needing to move file(s) around the system.  Can you help us by providing a specific example?

Being able to Comment on an email would be great.
