Place an ‘Add an Activity’ icon (function) into the Section Header icon set.

Users now need to drag new activity entries into preexisting sections. Providing an ‘Add an Activity’ icon to the existing ‘Add a Section’ icon set will provide a productivity boost to those of us that create many activities everywhere in Solve. Templates will be more effective too.

Taking your idea one step further, it might be interesting to have something like a right-click to add a new item at that particular location.

That would be perfect. The key here is ‘productivity flow’ - keeping functionality right in front of the Solve user - like a ‘heads up’ display. I would also love to see an outline paradigm for Solve. This way, Project Blogs can actually be split into sub projects. Users can create outline templates that can be placed directly into a Project Blog.

I like the ideas suggested above.  Additionally, I’d like to see an activity added in which you could just add a task, which is not necessarily attached to a section.  Sometimes, I’d just like to assign a single task to someone, and I think that the only way to do this now is to use the “Add a Task List” activity.  Using the Add a Task List function requires a two step process of adding a title for the task list and then having to create the actual activity which can be tracked.  I’d prefer to have this be a quicker, single action entry.

Quick tasks like that are a great idea, I think the application is interesting though - maybe there could be a default “quick tasklist” for each contact and blog? A work around is to build a template that inserts this general todo list.

however, you’ll find most people then creating totally unorganized task lists with tasks that are all over the place.

there does need to be a faster way to create tasks though, i’ll agree with you there.
