Scriptware Translation Agency

Scriptware is a Language Translation Services Agency (based in the Netherlands). We translate things like user manuals, websites, online help and legal documents. So if you would like to localize Solve360, give us a call ;)

We’re trying to differentiate us from our competitors by introducing new technologies to the translation world. We started doczone.com, a SaaS based content management system including translating and publishing of content, and TransiBar.com, a translation webshop.

Like a lot of other translation agencies, we’re struggling with choosing the right EPM/CRM system. A few years ago we were advised to use MS Project and customize it for our needs. Nowadays the employees of the company which advised us to use MS Project and helped us customizing are not there anymore. Also, our internal employee who created a CRM, hooked it up with MS Project and also did some customizing of MS Project, is not working for us anymore. So we’re now working with a not finished EPM/CRM system, without any support and which is slowly falling apart.

I think the main reason why we decided (I wasn’t there when decision was made) to customize MS Project, is because of the wish to combine the financial administration with the project management administrator into one system.

My idea is to split those two administrations. We’re planning to use Twinfield for the financial administration. What remains is a Web based/Cloud/SaaS EPM/CRM solution. In my search I stumbled upon Solve360.

First of all Solve360 looks great. I think you really understand what web 2.0 (both technical as design) is all about. Solve360 looks very promising, but there might be some functionality missing for us to use it. I’ll ask about those in the appropriate forums the coming days. But seeing how fast functionality is added, there might be no shortcomings in the nearby future.

Hi Martijn,
You approach seems like a good one. Future-proofing is definitely the thing that everyone wants, but the question is always, how does one future proof multiple solutions for various parts of the business (erp, crm, pm, etc.)? At this point in time, I don’t know if there is one product or offering out there that covers all the bases.
In the same vein, I think it’s worth looking at Solve360’s upgrade patterns and philosophy to get an idea of their road map. Competent and exciting are things every SaaS tries to do when they upgrade and improve, but responsibly? That’s another story.
Solve360 has not only been quick with upgrades, but responsibly building on core elements of the product - contacts, activities, projects.
I’ve been doing consulting work for businesses looking to use Solve and would love to hear more about what you guys are trying to do. I’m also probably not too far from you (I live in Paris, France).
