comments in a project blog

When working with a client, I like to keep everything in-house, that is to say, on the project blog using the publish feature coupled with commenting.

Currently I use RSS to keep up on comments, but it would be nice to have the option to receive an email alert, or even a real-time notification in Solve360 itself on the “desktop” so I know someone just commented.

thoughts?

I haven’t used RSS feeds yet, but was thinking along the same lines as well: like a pop up in teh menu bar like Skype

One question I did have about the RSS is: what happens if someone makes a very minor change, like removing a “.“ and replacing it with a “,“ will it send our an RSS and how do the people who receive the RSS know what is new and what is old?

I think it would also be great if you could manually choose to notify the people that the blog has been updated. Maybe you will be working on it all day and only want to notify them at the end, you hit a button ‘update subscribers’ and then it sends it out.

Am i missing something?

Thanks for your thoughts, with RSS feeds working nicely now we are looking at additional ways to manage notifications and appreciate your feedback.
