Okay SolveFans here is something completely out of left field. . .or right field. . .maybe it’s not even in the ballpark yet. Heard of Zotero? A very cool web research product. This is all free from George Mason University so you might want to check it out at http://www.zotero.org/. This post is not about what Zotero does but how it acts.
So, here’s the thing. . .Zotero hangs out as a tiny icon in a smidgen of real estate in the lower right hand corner of FireFox (red ‘Z’, black ‘otero’). When you tap on the icon, Zotero’s interface reveals itself, split screen, below what you happen to be browsing. Click another small icon and Zotero takes over the complete browser. Okay, enough about Zotero. Now enter Solve360.
How cool would it be to have a small Solve360 icon where Zotero might be. Click once, split screen, click twice all Solve. Open or create a project blog, highlight prospect information from the top website, drag into Solve. Need a picture of the VP of Sales: boom. . . drag into Solve. Close the Solve icon, move on.
Yea. . .yea. . .I know you’re saying “dude, just open Solve in another tab.“ Well, before you go off on me verbally - check out Zotero for yourself. Once you see how darn easy Zotero works within your browser, you will pine, as I do, for a Solve version that acts like the good ole ‘Z’.
I’m all ‘bout quantum leaps of productivity. Solve360 is way beyond anything out there now - but I’ll keep dreamin’.
