Hi,

Complete newbie making my first post.  Absolutely loving S360 so far and excited by its potential to help organize my freelancing business.

My first question seems kind of silly.  I see that if I grant “comments” permission to my clients they can post comments ok.  And I do receive email (or RSS) notification which is excellent.  It also shows up on the blog when I refresh the view (seems to take a few minutes).  However, on the client side, the comments don’t appear to show.  I’ve tried refreshing, logging out and logging back in, but still no comments.  Tested a couple of different browsers with no difference found (Firefox 3.6 and Opera 10.5)

I also notice that clients that are given “comments” permission have the ability to edit section headers.  Is there a way to lock that down?

Thanks for your help

Wes

Hi Wes, Thanks for your post.  It’s great to read that.

Actually this is our “bad”.  A minor update last week introduced a bug related to displaying comments on published pages.  This has since been corrected, you just need restart the browser to ensure you have the latest revision of our site.

Thanks for the update, comments are now showing up from the client side with “add comments” privilege enabled.

I ran into another issue.  I tried out the “modify” privilege, but from the client side I only seem to be able to make comments.  I can’t add other types of activities.  And I’ve set the blog to shared with my workgroup, and I’ve republished a few times thinking that might be the problem.  What exactly should “modify” rights give to the end user of a published blog?

Thanks

When you choose the “Modify” access option the guest accessing the published blog will be able to choose to add an activity from the “Add an activity” button, or hover over any existing activity and edit it, add a comment, time record etc.
