When I try to filter companies assigned to individual salesperson, I go to
Show-<All Companies>-and search for-<Assigned To>-
when I select the next field as <contains> and start writing salesperson name I get nothing.
And yet when I change the selection to <starts with> I get a list of all companies with that salesperson’s name in “assigned to” field.

What seems to be the problem?
