Odd Things Occuring

The past few days I have noticed a potential bug.  I use Mac OS 10.5 with Safari 3 browser.  When I enter info into contact fields or company fields, click “hide form”, it’s perfect.  Then when I “show form” in another contact, information from a different contact is visible in various fields.  When I “hide form” it does not show…odd.  This occurred prior to the new beta release, as well.

Any thoughts?

This may have occurred previously if you copied content from one contact’s note then pasted into a second contact.  Possible?

No.  These are specific fields which are magically duplicating themselves into other contact’s respective fields.  Yes, they were copied and pasted originally in the correct contact’s gemaine fields.

Are these contact fields or activities?

Please email us an example to support@  If the content was copied/pasted between contacts the data is related correctly but it is being instructed to display it in a different place.  We addressed this possibility for notes, perhaps there is another example somewhere else we need to look into.

These are contact fields not notes.  I will email you pictures.

This appears to be a function of the web browser trying to help you complete the form by remembering previously entered values.  It is entering the text in the fields but since you did not enter them they are only shown temporarily on the form, the values are not saved (this is why they don’t show in the display view).

Try disabling the autofill feature within Safari (preferences, autofill, other) to see if that’s it (or disable any similar add-on installed).  You can also actually enter new text in these fields and tab out of them to complete the save and then view the results.

Did this help?

You’re welcome.  Glad that worked out.
