FreshBooks integration, it just made sense

FreshBooks is an online estimating, invoicing and time tracking service that helps small businesses in more than 100 countries save time, get paid faster and look professional.

This “fresh” and exciting new feature provides a combined view of customer data so your team can see a contact’s history, opportunities, statement of account, estimates and invoices all in one place. You may need to control which users have access to the “numbers” so we’ve made sure you have the necessary control. Let’s review the simple one-time tasks to hook them up:

1. The Freshbook’s administrator enables the FreshBooks account to accept requests from Solve360 (enables the FreshBooks API feature).
   
   
2. The Solve360 administrator enables the Solve360 “FreshBooks Add-on” (provides access to the FreshBooks activity widget) and sets the FreshBooks subdomain all users will use (saves each user from entering it themselves).
   
   
3. When each Solve360 user first tries to use the feature they will be prompted to confirm what FreshBooks user account they have access to. If they don’t have access to FreshBooks they simply won’t see “the numbers”.

Hooking them up

Step 1 - Allow Solve360 to connect to Freshbooks

Login to FreshBooks and click: My Account > FreshBooks API > Enable API = Checked

Step 2 - Enable the FreskBooks Feature

Recall the subdomain you used when you registered your FreshBooks account.

Login to Solve360 and click: Solve360 menu (top right) > Add-ons > FreshBooks > Enable > enter your FreshBooks subdomain > Update

Step 3 - Have each Solve360 user prove they have access to Freshbooks data

Add a FreshBooks activity to a contact, company or project blog page.

The first time a Solve360 user accesses the FreshBooks feature they will be asked to prove they have access to the FreshBooks data.

Enter your Freshbooks login information and grant Solve360 access to the account. When this step is complete return to the Freshbooks activity and click on the "Verify" link.

Getting down to everyday business

With the one-time tasks completed Solve360 users can begin matching up their Solve360 records with FreshBooks clients. Once this is done the Solve360 page will show the outstanding balance, a list of existing estimates and invoices with quick links to create new ones.

Once a Solve360 user has made the connection for a given contact, company or project blog other users will not have to make the connection again. The billing information will be visible to any user in Solve360 who has the credentials to access FreshBooks data.
