The challenge

Staff at residential re-entry centers work in environments where safety incidents can escalate quickly. When an emergent situation occurs, response time and location accuracy are critical. Traditional staff monitoring systems were outdated, slow to respond, and did not provide staff with confidence that help would arrive immediately when needed.

In addition to safety, the facility required a solution that could adapt as the environment changed and remain easy for staff and administrators to operate day to day.

The solution

Norada on-person panic buttons paired with the Solve360 monitoring software were deployed as a replacement for an antiquated staff monitoring system. The solution provides room-level and facility-wide location awareness across a multi-level, 44,000 square foot facility, including surrounding exterior areas.

When staff safety is compromised, the panic button can be activated to immediately alert a response team to the precise location of the incident.

“When an emergent situation or individual safety is compromised, staff activate the panic button, immediately alerting a response team to their precise location.”

The system is used as a safety and security lifeline, giving staff confidence that help can be requested and received instantly.

“Used as a safety and security lifeline, the Norada and Solve360 systems provide staff with assurance that they can perform their duties knowing they can call and receive immediate assistance at the touch of a button.”

Privacy by design

Staff location remains private during normal operations. Location data is shared only when a panic alert is activated.

Visitor presence can be monitored separately, where required by facility policy.

Day-to-day operations

Beyond emergency response, Solve360 is used daily and adapts as the facility environment evolves. Configuration changes can be made at both user and administrator levels without disrupting operations.

“The Solve360 monitoring software is easy to operate on a daily basis and can be modified as the environment may change.”

When needed, Norada’s support team provides direct assistance.

“Solve360 customer support is readily available and has proven to be exceptional.”

Results

  • Faster, location-aware emergency response
  • Increased staff confidence in high-risk situations
  • Facility-wide visibility without operational friction
  • A modern replacement for an outdated monitoring system

“The Norada and Solve360 systems were presented by BEARCOM as replacement for an existing and antiquated staff monitoring system.”

Partner involvement

The solution was delivered in partnership with BEARCOM, who identified the need for a more effective safety system and implemented Norada and Solve360 to enhance overall staff safety and security.

“BEARCOM hit the mark in providing this solution to enhance the overall safety and security for our staff. Additionally, their customer service has been nothing short of top notch!”

Why it matters

In environments where safety incidents are unpredictable and response time matters, staff need absolute confidence that help will arrive quickly and precisely. Norada and Solve360 provide that confidence through verified presence, location-aware alerts, and a system staff trust when it matters most.
